Mimis Papaioannou was a Greek professional footballer who played as a forward for AEK Athens in the Greek League. He waa born on 23 August 1942 in Nea Nikomedeia of Imathia, Greece.
He grew up developing interest in football and went on to become a professional footballer. He is best known for playing for Greek side AEK where he made 480 appearances and scored 234 goals.
In 2021, the IFFHS also chose him in Greece’s best XI of all time. He was also awarded the best Greek footballer of the 20th Century by IFFHS.
