Top 10 Weirdest Hairstyles In Wrestling History

Wrestlers are always searching for various ways to stand out and feel unique. This is often done by their gimmick or the ring gear that they wear, but sometimes it can be achieved via something as simple as a hairstyle. That has been the case over the years with a lot of different styles being seen in the history of the business.

Some of them have been standard and not very adventurous while others have been wacky and strange. A lot of times, the weirder hairstyles are the ones that people end up remembering, even if they didn't come from a top-tier name.

10 Tyson Kidd's Crown

Tyson Kidd was an amazing professional wrestler who could put together fantastic technical matches against anybody that he worked with. However, at the start of his career, the reason people remembered him best was due to the weird hairstyle he chose.

Having his entire head completely shaved apart from his small spiked fringe was a bold decision for him to make. It's not something that looked good, but it was done to get fans talking and from that perspective, this idea was a success for him.

9 Taka Michinoku

Taka Michinoku had quite a similar style to Tyson Kidd in the sense that his fringe was a huge part of it. Unlike Kidd, who opted to spike it up, he decided to pull his down, however, he still pulled each part of his hair apart with gel.

He didn't have a shaved head like Tyson, but this was a unique style that isn't something that people particularly use. It's a weird style that most people wouldn't see anywhere else though.

8 Minoru Suzuki's Patterns

Of course, nobody would be brave enough to tell the hard-hitting Minoru Suzuki this fact, but there's no denying his hairstyle is a weird one. However, much like Tyson Kidd, the style is something that got everybody talking in a good way.

While it is a weird look, it suits his hard-hitting and serious nature. Seeing Suzuki with the different patterns shaved into his head is always something that will get people talking. Nobody knows what to expect each time and that is something that works for him.

7 Seth Rollins' Blonde Streak

Nowadays, fans just see Seth Rollins' weird suits every week as the Drip God. But when he first broke into WWE, he did so with a rather strange hairstyle. It's one of the weirdest in WWE's history as he had his long hair but with a blonde streak in one part of it.

It was something that was never truly explained but was done to have people talk about him and make him a big name. However, there's no denying that it is a strange look as it isn't the type of hairstyle that people are used to seeing.

6 Damien Demento

Few hairstyles were ever weirder than Damien Demento's, and while it was done to suit the character that he was playing at the time, it doesn't change the fact that it is an odd style. He opted to shave his entire head other than the back of it.

Demento then grew out that part of his hair, having it long. This was a unique look, and it did get attention on him. However, this isn't a gimmick that fans often talk about, so not even a weird haircut was able to make this one work.

5 Bull Nakano

Bull Nakano was an amazing professional wrestler and one that has gone down in history. Her hard-hitting style and brilliant submissions made her matches a lot of fun, but her unique look also allowed fans to remember her long after she was done.

In wrestling, female wrestlers typically allow their hair to grow long, with this being the traditional style. Therefore anytime someone goes against that it is a huge surprise. That is what made Nakano's look so unique, as her long hair being spiked upwards was unlike anything fans had seen before.

4 Sheamus

Anytime somebody gets a, "you look stupid" chant from the WWE Universe, the chances are high that the hairstyle being used is a weird one. That was the case when Sheamus switched up his hair, shaving off the back and the sides to then create a huge Mohican in the middle.

This was done to gain heat as he knew there would be a reaction. It has managed to go down in history as one of the weirdest hairstyles that have ever been seen in WWE, but he did have plenty of success with it.

3 Scotty 2 Hotty

Scotty 2 Hotty was always happy to do whatever it took to get over and to make an impact. This was clear when he decided to put together one of the weirdest hairstyles of all time. This was done to simply fit into one style of hat.

He would spike all the hair on top of his head to then fit through one circle of a hat, which had the top being cut off. It was an odd style that was unique to him, but it was a weird one that fans will still remember to this day.

2 The Red Rooster

The Red Rooster wasn't a great gimmick, with this being something that was always going to prove hard to get over. However, nobody can ever say that Terry Taylor didn't commit 110% in a bid to try and make it as memorable as possible.

Growing out his hair to then feature bright red Mohican in the middle was a truly unique and weird hairstyle. This is something that fans always remember, with the hair being one of the only aspects of this gimmick that proved to be memorable.

The Missing Link is not a character that most wrestling fans will remember as the gimmick isn't one that people cared about. However, there can be no denying he went all-in with the hairstyle to try and make this a character that few would forget.

It created arguably the worst haircut in WWE history. The decision to have a big clump of hair at the front, then a bald section before having another huge section at the back was a brave one, which was done to push the gimmick as much as possible.
